Oakfield Conservation Club

The Oakfield Conservation Club, Inc. was founded in 1949 for the purpose of the conservation of wild plants, animal life, and the natural resources.  In 1958, the club was incorporated and registered with the Register of Deeds of Fond du Lac County.  Their first corn roast was held in 1959 and this has become one of their annual events that attracts people from all around the area.  Today, the club owns Farm #1 which is 173 acres, including Lake Allen, Farm #2 which is 209 acres, and 13 acres of land which includes the club house and additional storage facilities.  The club also maintains Raspberry Lake by stocking fish, mowing the grass, and treating the weeds in the lake.  The Oakfield Pond is also maintained and stocked by the club.
